Shakhzodbek Makhmudov

PhD Candidate, International Relations

Shakhzodbek Makhmudov is a PhD student in the School of International Relations at the University of St Andrews. His research focuses on political stability and regional integration in Central Asia, with a particular emphasis on Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. He also explores International Relations theories, questions of world order, and regionalism.

Shakhzodbek holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (Uzbekistan) and an MA in International Relations from Brunel University London (United Kingdom). He previously taught International Relations and Geopolitics as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Journalism and Mass Communications of Uzbekistan, in the Political Science Department.
