David is a PhD Candidate in International Relations at the University of St Andrews. His research interests broadly are located within International Political Theory, Migration Studies, and issues of injustice and protest. David’s PhD research focuses on the political thought of Judith Shklar, aiming to think with her in regards to noncitizen and transnational civil disobedience. 

Prior to starting his PhD, David studied at the University of St Andrews for a masters in International Political Theory. He works as a Graduate Teaching Assistant within the School of International Relations, alongside continuing work on University of St Andrews widening access and participation projects – many of which he directly benefitted from previously as a teenager and as an undergraduate student. David has been actively involved in the PGR community at St Andrews as one of the organising team for the St Andrews Graduate Conference in International Political Theory.
